Earlier this week, the CCA team held our first Community Champion Programme event. The event discussed the journeys of our panellists from community activists to councillors.
Over the past month the CCA team have held a number of events to highlight our new and enhanced offering of support for Party members considering becoming Conservative councillors, including our new Community Champion Programme.
Conservatives held seats in Hillingdon and South Cambridgeshire. Labour held seats in Blaby and Cheshire East. An Independent gained a seat from Labour in Manchester. Liberal Democrats gained a seat from Conservatives on Cambridgeshire County Council.
Conservatives gained a seat from an Independent in Middlesbrough (the councillor causing the by-election was originally elected as a Conservative but was sitting as an Independent at the time the election was called).
Conservatives gained a seat from Labour in Hertsmere and held seats in East Staffordshire, Huntingdonshire and Thanet. Labour gained a seat from the Conservatives in Derbyshire County Council. An Independent held a seat in Waverley.
