The Local Government Reception at Party Conference will be held on Sunday 2nd October at 9.30pm in The Midland Hotel. Tickets will be available to purchase in advance from mid-August or from the CCA stand. A form to apply for tickets will appear here in due course and will also be enclosed with the August edition of Input.
On Thursday 3rd May 2012, there will be 4722 seats up for election in England across 182 councils.On the same day there will be elections for all 32 Unitary Authorities in Scotland and for all 22 Unitary Authorities in Wales.The London Mayoral election and elections to the Greater London Authority will also be held on the same day.

The New Councillors' Training Day will be taking place on Friday 10th June at Coleshill Manor.The event is open to all Conservative councillors but is aimed at those who are newly elected. The day will consist of a series of presentations by those with a wide experience of local government. Speakers will include Alan Mabbutt, CCA Head of the Local Government Department, and Kerry Buist, CCA Local By-election Campaigner.
