CCA November Virtual Training Programme
We know many Members look forward to our usual Councillor Development Weekend in November, including the training workshops that make up the Weekend. Due to the current restrictions in place, we will not be able to hold the Development Weekend in its usual form. However, in its place, the CCA Team have been working with experienced councillors and members of CCHQ's professional staff to put together a Virtual Training Programme to run throughout November.
The programme consists of virtual training webinars and discussions on the follow topics:
Campaigning During Covid: Making the Most of Online Campaigning - 9th November at 6:00pm Being a Young Councillor: What Happens Once I'm Elected? - 11th November at 6:00pm Thinking Politically: Using Political Grids and Council Motions - 17th November at 6:00pm
Effective in Opposition: A Training Roundtable Discussion - 26th November at 7:00pm
Virtual sessions are open to all CCA Members. If you would like to attend any of the training events, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place. Your CCA membership must be up to date.
Likewise, if there is a topic you would like to see the CCA providing training on, please do get in touch.
CF India and CCA: A Joint Panel on Promoting Diversity and Greater Community Engagement in Local Government - 24th November 2020 19.00-20.00
The Conservative Friends of India are delighted to host, in conjunction with the CCA, a special session to discuss how we can work together to develop greater engagement with the membership and encourage more members to stand as councillors.
During this online event, the panel will discuss how those interested can apply, the commitments involved in being a councillor and the positive impact that candidates can have on their community by becoming a councillor. The discussion will also highlight the support on offer through the CCA, such as our newly launched Community Champion Programme. For more information, please click here.
