Roe Project Public Speaking Course
The Roe Project, led by Dame Marion Roe, is a public speaking course aimed at those who are Conservative politicians at all levels of government. We have been running this course for over 10 years.
This popular training course looks at: how to deliver a presentation; how to make an impact; and dealing with difficult questions.
There will only be 16 places available on this course that will take place on the 10th March, so booking early is advised.
Registration will begin at 9:30 and the training will finish at 17:00 at 4 Matthew Parker Street London, SW1H 9HQ. (CCHQ).
The course, including buffet lunch and refreshments, costs £80.00.
Online Training Series
With crucial local elections happening in May, the CCA are hosting a series of online training sessions this winter to help councillors with their campaigns.
Producing Literature, 8th February (14:00-15:00). Antony Morrison, Head of Campaigning Communications, will host a session on how to produce literature.
Environmental Briefing, 9th February (11:00-12:00). This hour-long online event is to help councillors gain a better understanding of how they can support the environment through their roles in local government. There will be contributions from the Woodland Trust, who will explore the MOREwoods scheme, which supports local authority tree planting in financially difficult times; the Conservative Environment Network, who will focus on water quality and how local councillors can fight to improve it locally; and Jane Bevis of the On-Pack Recycling Label team, who will look at the role of local government in engaging residents in increasing recycling rates.
Who, What, Words, 13th February (10:30-11:30). This session, from CCHQ's Insight Team, will explore who to target literature at, what ways you should communicate with them and the words that will be most impactful to use.
To register for any of these sessions, please email ciaran.reed@conservatives.com.CCA Training Sessions - Presentations and Materials Available
The CCA has always been proud of its events programme; a key aspect of our membership offering. In fact, in response to the restrictions that were put in place as the situation around the pandemic developed, the number of events we have held over the last year has continued to grow.
Whilst we always try to find times for sessions that will work for both presenters and our Members, we also understand that not all of you will be able to tune into every session. That’s why we endeavour to upload all of the relevant materials and presentations from each workshop onto the Training Resources section of the CCA Member Area, when the content allows. We would therefore like to remind you that we currently have presentations on the page from our Autumn, Opposition, and New Councillor Training Programmes, including on Writing to Win, Getting Started on Facebook, and Virtual House Meetings.
If there are particular areas that you feel you would benefit from receiving training on, then please do get in touch with the CCA Team.
